2022 World Cup: German National Team Asked to Learn from Real Madrid
The England national team is not the only big European country that has difficulty finding game consistency, as well as the German national team made by Hans-Dieter Flick ahead of the 2022 World Cup.
In eight games in 2022 Die Mannschaft - Germany's nickname - won only two matches, five ended in a draw, and one lost one. This has not been Germany's best year and they finished third in the League A Group 3 standings behind Italy and Hungary in the UEFA Nations League and did not qualify for the semifinals.
The German performance was clearly not the ideal preparation for2022 World Cup, where the 2014 World Cup winners are in Group E with Costa Rica, Japan, and 2010 World Cup winners Spain.
However, Germany's senior striker and Bayern Munich player, Thomas Muller, asked his teammates to learn from him real Madridby Carlo Ancelotti.
"Maybe Real Madrid can be an example for us," Muller said as quoted by Marca. "I have played for many coaches, including Ancelotti, who has won many trophies."
"When things don't go well it's about recovering and staying confident. We'll do well to keep up with that."
The meaning of the 33-year-old striker's words is, when the team's performance is not in good condition, the opportunity to bounce back is still there as long as you can maintain confidence. Madrid too. Los Blancos seem to know how to achieve success even though the team often doesn't play well.
